Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Designer:
- Built a playable level in Unreal 4 using blueprints.
- Built a non-Euclidean environment that moved in 'impossible' ways.
- Used materials and lighting to convey narrative through visual design, fear, false happiness, reflection, and 'the light at the end of the tunnel'

Let's Begin was my first time using Unreal Engine to develop a game, done as part of my first semester of second year in university. The game itself is an exploration of non-Euclidean level design, told through the lens of a player character attending therapy for the first time. The visuals of the game are basic, using the Unreal Engine basic assets, but despite this restriction I feel I was able to use what tools I had available to great effect. Below is a link to a video walkthrough of the level, in order to give a full visualisation of the level. The game did suffer as a result of my relative inexperience with Blueprints and the engine as a whole, but overall I feel it came together well.
